Driver Job Description:

Drivers will be held accountable for transporting patients in wheelchairs to their medical appointments, dialysis centers, and hospital visits.
Drivers must go into healthcare facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, hospice centers, and some private residences to transfer patients from their beds or chairs onto wheelchairs.
Responsible for transporting, loading, and unloading patients up to 200 lbs or greater with necessary assistance.
To fulfill your duties, you must use the provided tablet device in the vehicle and utilize dispatch software as well as directions to reach each destination.
Ensuring vehicles and mechanical equipment remain clean and maintained, promptly reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel, fueling cars as needed, and carefully monitoring engine oil levels.
Our full-time drivers are expected to work (insert a number of days), and their daily hours can range from 8-12.5, depending on the demand for that day. Additionally, each driver must dedicate one weekend every other week and some holidays at a different pay.
Daily shifts’ beginning and finishing times may differ depending on the demand for trips that day.
At all times, we expect our drivers to be prompt, courteous, and professional.
To uphold the image of IAH Transportation, all drivers must always wear the official company uniform while working.
All drivers must be willing to pass a background check and drug test before beginning their job and possess a clean driving record.
